Al Ittifaq FC brought out the next generation of football talent this past Saturday, hosting Youth League Trials for the Al Ittifaq FC Academy at Ripe Market — with a very special guest in attendance: club player and Brazilian football star Douglas Costa.
A Day of Talent and Inspiration
Aspiring players from the U9, U11, U13, and U14 divisions came out in force for the chance to earn a spot with the Al Ittifaq FC Academy, showcasing their skills in front of the club’s selectors. The trials gave young athletes the opportunity to demonstrate their technique, teamwork, and passion for the game on a competitive stage.
Adding an extra layer of excitement to the day, Douglas Costa — who currently plays for Al Ittifaq FC in the UAE Division 1 League — was on hand to personally observe the trials, watching closely as the next generation of Al Ittifaq talent battled it out on the pitch. Having one of the club’s own stars in attendance brought an unmistakable buzz to the event, motivating players across every age group to give their absolute best.
Meet & Greet and Signature Experience
As the trials wrapped up, the energy shifted from competition to celebration. Douglas Costa stayed on for an exclusive meet and greet session, giving the young players and their families the opportunity to meet him up close.
The highlight for many was the signature experience, where kids lined up for a chance to get autographs and photos with the Brazilian star — memories they’re sure to treasure for years to come.
A Day to Remember
Between the high-intensity trials and the once-in-a-lifetime moment with Douglas Costa, the event was a resounding success for Al Ittifaq FC Academy, blending competitive youth football with genuine inspiration. For the young athletes involved, it was more than just a trial — it was a taste of what’s possible when hard work meets opportunity, and a glimpse into the club culture they could soon be part of.
