Ittifaq FC recently welcomed a delegation from the UAE Football Association (UAEFA) to the club’s training facility for an educational workshop aimed at strengthening the club’s compliance and professionalism across several key areas of the game.
The session brought together Ittifaq’s first-team players and coaching staff for a comprehensive briefing covering three core topics: anti-doping regulations, media guidelines, and league operations and match-day procedures.
Anti-Doping Awareness
The workshop opened with a detailed session on anti-doping policies, reinforcing the UAEFA’s zero-tolerance stance on the use of prohibited substances. Players and staff were walked through the testing process, prohibited substance lists, and the responsibilities every athlete carries in safeguarding the integrity of the sport. The session also addressed common pitfalls, such as inadvertent use of banned substances through supplements or medication, and outlined the steps players should take to stay compliant.
Media Guidelines
The second segment focused on media conduct, equipping players and coaching staff with best practices for interacting with journalists, broadcasters, and fans across traditional and digital platforms. Topics included professional conduct during press conferences and post-match interviews, appropriate use of social media, and representing the club and the league in a manner consistent with UAEFA’s standards.
League Operations and Match Guidelines
The final part of the workshop covered league operations, giving attendees a clear overview of match-day protocols, disciplinary procedures, and operational regulations set out by the UAEFA. The session ensured that players and staff have a shared understanding of the rules governing competition, helping to minimize procedural errors and disputes throughout the season.
Looking Ahead
Ittifaq FC extends its thanks to the UAEFA for organizing and delivering this valuable workshop. The club remains committed to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and compliance both on and off the pitch, and looks forward to continued collaboration with the UAEFA on future development initiatives.
